Clean Energy Asset Ownership

Clean energy, owned for the long term.

Grindstone Solar owns and holds solar photovoltaic generating assets that produce clean, renewable electricity — supporting the shift toward distributed solar power.

About Grindstone Solar

A Texas-based clean-energy entity that owns solar generating assets as a long-term holding.

✓ Owns solar PV generating capacity
✓ Produces clean, renewable electricity
✓ Committed to distributed solar energy

Established 2025 Organized in Texas Solar: 21 kW + 42.9 kWh storage Clean energy, zero emissions
Our focus

What Grindstone Solar does

We own clean-energy generating assets and hold them for the long term. Our purpose is simple: put capital toward solar generation that produces emissions-free electricity.

☀️

Own solar assets

We own solar photovoltaic generating equipment that converts sunlight into clean electricity.

Generate clean power

Those assets produce renewable electricity, displacing power that would otherwise come from fossil fuels.

📊

Hold for the long term

We treat solar generation as a long-term clean-energy holding, not a quick trade.

About

Why we exist

Grindstone Solar was formed in 2025 in Texas by Adam Richard to participate in the clean-energy transition by owning solar generating assets. We believe distributed solar — many small, clean generators spread across rooftops and sites — is a durable part of the energy future.

Grindstone Solar reflects a long-term commitment to clean energy. By owning solar photovoltaic generation, we put capital to work producing emissions-free electricity and supporting the growth of distributed solar — taking a patient, ownership-minded approach rather than chasing short-term returns.

Our assets

The clean energy we own

Grindstone Solar owns a residential solar PV system and a battery energy storage system hosted at a private residence in Trinity County, Texas, placed in service in 2025.

Solar PV system

Type: Residential rooftop solar
System size: 21.06 kW (DC)
Inverter: 24 kW (AC)
Modules: 405 W high-efficiency panels
Interconnected: 2025

Battery storage

Type: Home battery energy storage
Capacity: 42.9 kWh
Purpose: Stores clean solar energy for use when the sun isn't shining.

Location & operation

Hosted at a private residence in Trinity County, East Texas. The systems are professionally monitored, operated, and maintained under long-term service agreements.

Estimated to generate about 26,400 kWh of clean electricity in its first year — roughly 488,000 kWh over its initial 20-year term — displacing fossil-fuel power on the Texas grid.

Why solar

How solar generation works

1. Sunlight

Photovoltaic panels capture sunlight and produce direct-current electricity.

2. Conversion

An inverter converts it to alternating current that the grid and buildings use.

3. Clean power

The electricity is used on site or delivered to the grid — with no emissions.

4. Impact

Every kWh of solar displaces electricity that would otherwise burn fossil fuel.
